Intensive Professional Fashion Designing SUMMER School AUG 2015!!!

The EvelynTailor School of Fashion Design is organizing its maiden professional training in the city of Lagos. The Training school is located in the capital city of Abuja. The program is designed to cater for the huge number of interested candidates in our training school. This is going to be an annual program. It is a platform that will help in liberating a lot of youths financially. It is an opportunity to learn one of the surest arts that can lead to your independence and liberation.

 

 

The Program details are as follow:

Program: Professional Fashion Design

Start Date: Aug3rd

End date: Aug 27th

Duration: 4 weeks

Lecture Days: Monday-Thursday

                         Morning Session: 10.00 am - 1.00pm

                         Afternoon Session: 2.00pm - 5.00pm

Fees: Beginners - #50,000

         Intermediate - #60,000

Venue: Victory High School, Onigbagbo bus stop, mobolaji bank Anthony way, Ikeja, Lagos

Objective: At the end of the program the beginner student is expected to produce a 2 pieces collection and   the intermediate a 3 pieces collection

 

Registration: To book your space pay 40% of your fees before mid July and pay the balance on resumption

 

TRAINING CURRICULUM

Level 1: Beginners Class

The course is set to introduce interested students to the practical world of fashion design. Students will be taught HANDS-ON the process starting from drawing, to figure work, design, colour theory & introduction to Pattern Drafting.

Course outline:

• History of Fashion Design
• Colour Theory
• Fabrics & Textile
• Basic drawing 
• Introduction to Fashion illustration (The 9-line rule, The Angular figure, fully fleshed out figure
• Body movement s and poses
• Dressing your figures
• Building a Collection.
• Introduction to the use of Machine
• Introduction to Pattern Drafting: Bodice, Skirt block, and Sleeve block.
• Designing a simple .Skirt and Top/Gown

Level 2: Intermediate Class

This class is for those who know how to sew and sketch but want to improve their skils by learning modern techniques, Pattern drafting and Professional finishing of garments.

Course outline:

• Identifying your Target Market
• Collection Development
• Use of machine
• Pattern Drafting: Bodice, Skirt block and Sleeve block.
• Dart manipulations
• More on Garment making: Necklines, Jacket, Evening garment
• Collection Sewing
• Sewing Techniques
• Seam constructions and finishing

Prices for Best Students

• The best student from each level will be given a scholarship (Tuition only) to continue in other levels with the school in Abuja.
• The 5 best students from each level will be given an opportunity to create their 1st lookbook with a photoshoot session organised for them (Paid for).

This training is target at youth ranging from senior secondary school students, SSCE holders, tertiary school students and graduates of different levels.
